The design is good, the playability is good, but once I've found the right strategy to always win I lost the interest on it, at least to play alone. Truth be told, one major downside for me was that once I've figured how to beat the bots - no matter if I chose easy, medium or hard ones - the game lost a lot of its replay value.Īll in all, this was a nice experience that allowed me to relive the good ol days when I was a kid and tried to understand what mortgage meant. In a world where grinding is more and more often required from gamers, it's actually a relief not having every aspect of a game tied to an time consuming achievement. There's an option to play on an animated board instead of the flat regular one which helps to keep the players attentive and adds to the feeling to be playing a dynamic game. Unfortunately it's not possibile to mix bots and real people and I wasn't able to play with more than 1 person per console. Playing over Xbox Live though, is a different story. You can also play alone or with friends adding "bots" and choosing their difficulty from "very easy", "easy", "normal" or "hard options". In any case, you can set a game with at least 2 or up to 6 players. When I bought this one a couple of days ago it was on sale, so I finally could agree on a price that I thought fair for the fun that I expected and in fact ended up extracting from it.ĮDIT: Playing locally with many players, you have the option to play with 1 controller for everyone, taking turns, or having 1 controller per person. Personally, I think that the brand alone makes them often expensive. Monopoly Plus was the first Monopoly game that I got to own and play digitally.
